We will not share or sell your mobile phone number, messaging content, or opt-in consent collected through the SmartText app with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Some SmartText features are powered by artificial intelligence — for example, reply suggestions, the in-app AI assistant, and tools that help you respond to a screenshot of a conversation. To provide these features, the content needed to perform them is sent to third-party AI providers that process it on our behalf and return a result.
We do not sell this content, and we do not use it for advertising. The providers process it to generate your result; a provider may retain it briefly to maintain security or detect abuse, as described in its API terms, and does not use it to train its models. These features run only to fulfill your use of SmartText’s AI tools.
Because you choose what to send to an AI feature, you are responsible for the content you submit — including any screenshot or image you upload for the AI to help you with. Please do not upload content you are not authorized to share or are uncomfortable processing through these features.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication, and row-level database security policies to protect your data. Sensitive credentials are stored using secure secrets management, never in application code.
If we become aware of a security breach that compromises your personal data, we will notify affected users without undue delay and, where required, the relevant authorities, in accordance with applicable law. Our notice will describe what happened, the types of data involved, and the steps you can take, to the extent that information is known to us.
Your messages and account data are retained. You can request all past data be deleted. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe that we have unintentionally collected information from an individual under the age of 18, please contact us, and we will take the necessary steps to remove the information.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal data, and opt out of the sale of your personal data.
